Hello there fellow wanderlusters!
Happy 26th birthday T-Swizzle! Haha it's also the first day of the 12 Days of Blogmas, and today's prompt is to write a poem about the holidays :)
On Christmas,
everyone is happy.
Everyone rushes down the stairs at eight o'clock,
wondering what lies below the Christmas tree.
Everyone opens their gifts in harmony,
grinning, smiling, laughing
at what they find inside.
No one wears a frown.
And that's true for all the other holidays too,
for people of different cultures and religions.
Though not everyone celebrates Christmas,
including me,
I'll always be both glad and proud of the diversity.
Winter is a season of snow.
Of warmth.
Of hugs.
But to me, it will always be the season
of hope and peace and joy.
It will always be the season
where those of different creed
come together
and show us the beauty in unity.
